Current Benefits

Davis & Elkins College provides a competitive benefits package to its eligible employees. An open enrollment period is held annually in the late fall to provide employees an opportunity to select benefit plan options for the next year. Open Enrollment is an ideal time to take inventory of all plans, coverage types, and beneficiaries.

Health Insurance

Health Insurance is provided by ASR. Employees have a choice of three plan options 鈥� PPO, HDHP, or MEC.
Employees who participate in the Wellness Program (see information below) receive a discount on their premiums.
Employees may enroll as a new hire, during open enrollment, or when they experience a life change (marriage, birth, adoption, etc.).

Health Reimbursement Arrangement

A Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), provided by The Health Plan, is offered to all employees who participate in the health insurance coverage offered by Davis & Elkins College. The college contributes funds each year to the HRA for each participant.
Employees, through their HRA, may use these monies to pay for medical expenses. Money that is not spent during the year stays in the account to use for subsequent years.

Dental Insurance

Optional Dental Insurance is provided by SIEBA, LTD. Employees have a choice of single or family coverage.
Employees may enroll as a new hire, during open enrollment, or when they experience a life change (marriage, birth, adoption, etc.).

Vision Insurance

Optional Vision insurance is provided by VSP. Employees have a choice of single, employee + spouse, employee + children, or family coverage.
The vision plan provides coverage for eye exams, certain types of eye treatment, as well as glasses and contacts.

Flexible Spending Account

每日大赛入口 offers employees the option to enroll in two types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 鈥� healthcare FSA or dependent care FSA.
This plan allows the employee to have deductions from their pay for medical, dental, and/or dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis, providing employees with reduced tax liability.
Enrollment in the Flex Plan occurs annually.

Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment

Life and AD&D insurance is provided by The Standard to all full-time employees. The college pays all premiums for this insurance.
The coverage is 2.5 times the employee’s salary, with a minimum of $50,000 and a maximum of $250,000.
Coverage will decrease after employees reach age 65.

Long-Term Disability

Disability insurance is provided by The Standard to all full-time employees. The college pays all premiums for this coverage.
The coverage is 60 percent of the employee’s monthly wage base, not to exceed $5,000 per month

Sick Leave Bank

This benefit provides full-time employees with a short-term disability plan.
The college’s long-term disability plan can be accessed after six months of disability, but the college has no short-term disability plan in place.
The sick leave bank (once accrued sick leave time is exhausted) can help cover the immediate loss of income if an employee must be absent from work due to non-work-related illness or injury.
All full-time employees are eligible for membership on a voluntary basis.

Retirement

An annuity contract will be opened for each full-time employee with TIAA.
The college will pay the equivalent of 2.5 percent of the employee’s wages into the retirement contract, deposited monthly.
This percentage increases to 5 percent after the sixth year of employment.
The employee has the option to contribute a percentage of his/her wages to the contract.
Part-time employees may be eligible for this benefit, based on the number of hours worked during the first year of employment at 每日大赛入口.

Wellness Program

The college offers a wellness program to all employees and their spouses.
Employees are invited to participate in the annual wellness screening.
每日大赛入口 offers a variety of wellness classes free of charge to employees and spouses.

Employee Assistance Program

The Life/LTD coverage includes an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provided by The Standard.
Whether managing everyday issues such as job pressures, relationships, retirement planning, or finding childcare, or faced with grief, loss, or the impact of a disability, The Standard is your resource for professional support.
You and your family, including spouse and dependents, have access to the EAP at no additional cost.
The EAP is a one-stop resource that offers consultation, information, and referrals, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for employees and their family members.

Campus Conduct Hotline

The Campus Conduct Hotline漏 is a confidential, independent risk-management service that gives students and employees a simple, anonymous way to alert administrators of unsafe or unethical behavior before it spirals out of control. The Campus Conduct Hotline漏 is available around the clock, seven days a week.

To use this service:

Dial toll-free 866-943-5787.
Your call will be greeted promptly and courteously by a person who makes certain you understand the Campus Conduct Hotline漏 program and how it functions.
At the beginning of the interview, you will receive a five-digit case number that you should use to check back for updates and/or requests for additional information. Be sure to write this number down and keep it in a safe place.
You will then be interviewed about your question or concern. Your interview will not be recorded. Instead, the interviewer will be typing notes of your conversation. Whether or not you choose to provide your name is completely up to you.
Within one business day of your call, a summary of the interview will be forwarded to the college. Our goal will be to have a basic response back to you in five business days.
To receive your response, you will need to call back and provide the five-digit case number that has been assigned to you. You will be able to continue checking back for updates until your case is closed.
Because of the built-in confidentiality, you must be as specific as possible about the information you provide. At no time is any caller required to identify themselves, and all information provided can be completely confidential and anonymous.
